The Backhouse – Their daily happy hour from 4 to 6:30pm has $5 rolls, $1 oysters and $5 pints of beer.
Bossa Nova – Lunch specials with generous portions! Sandwiches with your choice of side run $10-$11.
Diddy Riese – Even though their prices have doubled in the past year, the cookies are still 50 cents each, with a slight price break at three for $1.25 and a dozen for $4.50. Ice cream sandwiches are $2 (so figure $1 for the two cookies and only a $1 more for the ice cream).
Gulp – If you like beer, Gulp has a daily special of burger and a beer for $16! You can choose from any of their 36 craft beers. Given that some of the beers cost $8, you can get a burger and fries for only $8 more.
Lamonica’s NY Pizza – All day Sunday and after 9PM, a large 18″ pizza costs only $11!!!!
Marugame Udon – Freshly made udon noodles starting at $4.50 for a basic kake udon.
Pinches Tacos – For a mere $6.50, UCLA Students can get a two taco plate, with rice and beans and a drink.
Thrifty Ice Cream at Rite Aid – With most places charging $3.50-$4 for a scoop of ice cream, it’s refreshing to be able to get a scoop for less than $2 ($1.79). Two scoops only costs $2.49. Even three scoops will only costs $3.29, less than what most places will charge you for only one scoop.
The Six – Daily happy hour from 3 to 6pm features $6 turkey sloppy joe sliders, $6 pizzas and $5 craft beers.
Suehiro Cafe – This Japanese cafe has one of the best deals in town with $5.25 lunch specials Monday through Friday.
TLT Food – On Taco Tuesdays, all tacos are $3, including the ahi tuna taco.
Eastern Bakery – Baked BBQ buns for only $1.25? Deal! Over at Yank Sing, they charge $2.60 per bun.
Sakesan Bistro – Daily Happy Hour Menu from 4pm-6pm with $5 appetizers like fried oysters, fried chicken, spicy tuna rolls, gyoza and California rolls – plus my dad’s favorite $1 raw oysters on the half shell!
Thai Time – Lunch specials for well under $10? It’s Thai Time!
Zabar’s – Great prices on rugalach, babka and lox. If you’re looking for a bagel, cream cheese and lox sandwich, they have a reasonably priced one in their cafe. It’s cold though so if you like your bagel toasted, get a side of lox from the store and then get a bagel toasted with cream cheese at the cafe.
